The founder of RentToOwnNC, Jeff Ochieng, strongly believes in the American Dream of homeownership. He understands, however, that sometimes things in life do not go according to plan and that can greatly limit a person's options to purchase a home of his or her own using traditional methods. Because of that, RentToOwnNC wants to focus on the present and future, not on the past. Individuals who choose a rent to own option in home buying are able to take pride in the fact that they can paint, remodel, put up a fence, have pets, and enjoy all of the freedom of home ownership while they take steps to reestablish their credit toward a predetermined purchase price on the home that they chose. 

To facilitate that, Jeff and his team offer recommendations towards credit counselors and experienced mortgage brokers especially skilled in rehabilitating credit.
